Payment methods and due dates should be clearly explained. Request a signed rental agreement and review/ check it carefully. All alterations, cancellations and refunds between members and travellers should be agreed verbally and in writing. Request more information about the property including additional photos and the actual location. Request further details on how to get to your selected property. Sending money via Western Union or MoneyGram is not safe. Contact the owner at least once by phone before confirming your booking. If you are still concerned about a particular property, we suggest that you contact the owner directly, or search for a different property that meets your requirements.
