About
Picardy
Picardy is the region where France was born, for it was here that the Franks, ancestors of the French, settled. It is 45 minutes from the ports and borders with Paris, Champagne and Normandy. As the birth place of France, the region offers a string of historical sites and towns rich in cultural heritage.

The countryside offers beautiful rolling green hills, forests and gentle river valleys flanked in the north by the coast known as the "Cote D'Opale".

The area offers many activities from kite surfing, wind surfing, boating, walking, horse riding through to fishing. Being a coastal region, there is plenty of wonderful fresh sea food on offer.

Access to the area is good as you are in close proximity to the ferry ports of Dieppe, Boulogne and Calais. The TGV fast train also runs into Calais.
