About
Burgundy
| This is a region quite undiscovered with Uk and Irish clients, who typically head to more Western parts of France. Burgundy is a region famous for its wine, Norman abbeys, chateaux and mosaic roofs. There is plenty on offer in this wonderful region. The wine industry feeds wealth, life and sparkle into the area. The villages and markets towns are well kept and have a feeling of life. Vezelay, Beaune & Cluny to name but a few one should explore. Wine tasting, visiting historical sites, walking, fishing, hunting, cycling, boating on the canals and experiencing the local cuisine are just some of the things to do in Burgundy. Rolling hills scattered with vineyards, forests, canals and rivers are typical of the regional scenery. The climate is appealing with hot summers and cold, dry and bright winters. Access to the area is reasonable depending on where you live and how you prefer to travel. The area has good motorway access, and is approximately 5-6 hours drive from Calais. There is also TGV fast train access into Dijon, Le Creusot and Macon. |
