| This is one of the best known regions. It is located in South West France and is made up by the departments of the Dordogne, Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Landes and finally the Pyrenees-Atlantiques. Its wonderful climate, stunningly diverse countryside and beautiful architecture make it very appealing to overseas clients. Sandy beaches, vineyards, chateaux, mountains and countryside combine to create this beautiful area of France. The winter period is similar to the south of the UK but a little shorter and with less rain. The region offers warm springs and hot sunny summers which last well into the warm autumns. Airports include Bergerac, Bordeaux, Pau and Biarritz. The TGV fast trains also run to all of the mentioned towns as well as Agen.
